Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province will urgently deploy additional personnel to minimize inconvenience to citizens, as disruptions to civil complaint services are expected due to the recent national information system outage and delays in restoration.


This measure was implemented out of concern that various civil service processes could be delayed, resulting in confusion. A total of 19 temporary workers will be assigned to the main city hall, branch offices, and administrative welfare centers in each town, township, and neighborhood.


The deployment period will be approximately 15 days, and the city has allocated a budget of about 24 million won to provide prompt support.


The support staff will be responsible for guiding citizens, assisting with form completion, and responding to waiting clients, thereby reducing inconveniences that may arise on-site. In particular, during the period when work is delayed due to the system failure, the city plans to enhance guidance and counseling to improve citizen satisfaction and prevent confusion.


Yangsan City expects that this measure will help alleviate any backlog and inconvenience in civil complaint queues that may persist even after the system is normalized, and will also allow the city to proactively address any additional issues that may arise.


Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "Unavoidable delays in civil complaint processing are occurring due to the unexpected national information system outage, but we will do our utmost to minimize inconvenience to citizens and ensure a swift recovery by providing emergency personnel support. We ask for your understanding and cooperation."
