Odong-dong Welfare Family Volunteer Association Shares Chuseok Ritual Foods

On September 30, the Odong-dong Welfare Family Volunteer Association in Odong-dong, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held a Chuseok food sharing event for underprivileged residents in the area.

This event was organized to share the warmth of the Chuseok holiday with seniors living alone, people with disabilities, and low-income families in the community. Members gathered from the morning to prepare ritual foods, including cleaning fish themselves, and delivered them to a total of 100 households.

Volunteer members personally visited each household to deliver the food and provided companionship to neighbors with limited mobility.

Cho Eunsook, president of the Odong-dong Welfare Family Volunteer Association, said, "I feel rewarded that we can bring a bit of warmth to neighbors who find it difficult to spend time with their families during the holiday."

Cho Ilyong, head of Odong-dong, stated, "I would like to thank the members of the Odong-dong Welfare Family Volunteer Association for practicing warm neighborly love during Chuseok. I hope everyone enjoys a happy Chuseok without anyone in the community feeling left out this year."
