Park Dongsun, Chairperson of Dongseo Educational Foundation, delivered a keynote speech at a forum attended by university presidents and female leaders in higher education from around the world.
According to Dongseo University on September 30, Chairperson Park was invited as a speaker at the World Women University Presidents Forum (WWUPF) Europe Forum, held at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom from September 25 to 27. She presented "From Vision to Impact: Dongseo Educational Foundation's first 60 years and beyond in shaping future education."
This forum, attended by over 100 participants from 30 countries, is a gathering of female leaders in higher education that has been held every two to three years since 2000. This year, it took place at the prestigious University of Manchester, which has produced 25 Nobel laureates since its founding in 1824.
Distinguished female leaders in higher education from Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Africa participated in the event, including Professor Nancy Rothwell, the first female president of the University of Manchester; President Gengxin Wang of Nanjing Communication University; and President Paola Pericom of Privada Domingo Savio University in Bolivia. They engaged in passionate discussions, exchanges, and communication.
Chairperson Park Dongsun stated, "The three universities under Dongseo Educational Foundation-Dongseo University, Kyungnam College of Information & Technology, and Busan Digital University-are expanding their educational ecosystem to focus on durable skills such as creativity, adaptability, and ethical judgment in the era of artificial intelligence. We are also strengthening global experiential learning through partnerships with the Minerva Project."
Chairperson Park emphasized, "Building on the vision and achievements of the past 60 years, Dongseo Educational Foundation will continue to establish a future-oriented university model that leads the world."
