Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province will conduct special monitoring activities for areas and facilities vulnerable to environmental pollution until October 14, in order to prevent environmental pollution accidents before and after the Chuseok holiday.
To this end, Yeongdeok County has organized a special monitoring team consisting of three groups and six members. The team will provide prior guidance and encourage voluntary inspections at businesses that discharge environmental pollutants, while also strengthening patrols of water source areas and rivers that are considered at risk of pollution.
In particular, Yeongdeok County will operate a situation room and a reporting center for environmental pollution activities to ensure effective prevention and practical special monitoring of environmental pollution.
County Governor Kim Kwangyeol stated, "By operating the special inspection team, we will establish an emergency monitoring system to minimize any gaps during the Chuseok holiday, prevent environmental pollution accidents, and ensure that residents can spend the holiday in a safe and pleasant environment."
