Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on September 29 that the "2025 Guri Cosmos Festival," held over three days from the 26th to the 28th at Guri Hangang Citizens' Park, concluded successfully with approximately 360,000 visitors in attendance.

Although there were concerns about the blooming status due to the relatively early timing, the cosmos flowers were in full bloom under clear and warm weather on the first and second days, providing citizens and tourists with a true sense of autumn.
In particular, the traditional folk game "Guri Beolmal Bridge Stepping," native to the Beolmal area of Guri, was faithfully reenacted, drawing significant attention and enthusiastic responses. This event went beyond a simple hands-on experience to become a meaningful occasion for sharing the region's history and culture.
The Cosmos Tour Train, which circulated throughout the festival grounds on two routes, was especially popular among families. The unique experience of riding through the flower fields created special memories for visitors of all ages.
Additionally, a variety of experiential events-such as the 7080 Nostalgic Classroom, old school uniform experience, and the "Life Four-Cut" photo zone-resonated with different generations and enriched the festival atmosphere.
On the special stage at the lawn plaza, performances by local artists and talented singers continued throughout the three days. The eve concert on the 26th featured emotional performances by Seo Young-eun, Chu Hyukjin, and My Jin. The opening ceremony on the 27th was further enlivened by Park Changgeun and An Seunghun, while the closing ceremony on the 28th was highlighted by explosive performances from Son Seungyeon, Kim Feel, Jin Uk, and Park Hyeshin.
Although heavy rain fell on the morning of the final day, the city quickly restored the lawn plaza and booth areas after the rain stopped around 1 p.m., allowing the main programs to proceed as scheduled.

While some inconvenience regarding shuttle bus transfers was noted, the measures effectively dispersed visitors evenly throughout the festival grounds. Next year, the city plans to address these issues by expanding shuttle routes, strengthening transfer guidance, and reorganizing bus stops.
Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "There were concerns about the timing and weather, but thanks to the clear skies and blooming cosmos during the festival, many citizens and tourists were satisfied, which makes me happy. In particular, the Beolmal Bridge Stepping, tour train, and vibrant performances received great responses, making the event especially meaningful."
He added, "We will address any shortcomings and continue to develop the festival into an even more memorable and representative tourism event for Guri."
Meanwhile, based on the success of this festival, Guri City plans to systematically prepare for seasonal signature festivals such as the "Guri Light Festival," which will be held from October 18 at Jangja Lake Park, and the 2026 Canola Flower Festival.
