The Changwon Facilities Management Corporation in South Gyeongsang Province is implementing a "Comprehensive Chuseok Holiday Plan" that prioritizes the safety and convenience of citizens in celebration of Chuseok, Korea's traditional holiday.
This comprehensive plan is divided into specific areas, including maintaining a prompt response system, ensuring safe and pleasant facility management, and fostering integrity and work discipline, with detailed measures to be implemented in each area.
During the Chuseok holiday from October 5 to 8, the corporation will operate a comprehensive situation room to respond quickly to various emergencies that may arise during the holiday period.
During the Chuseok holiday, funeral facilities such as Sangbok Park, Jinhae Marine Park, and special transportation services for the mobility-impaired will operate as usual. Additionally, the corporation will provide free access to its directly managed public parking lots, as well as to auxiliary stadiums at Changwon Sports Complex, the inline skating rink, the basketball court and annex parking lot at Masan Baseball Center, and other facilities.
The columbarium facilities at Sangbok Park, Masan Yongsaengwon, and Jinhae Cheonjawon will extend their operating hours by two hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., during the holiday period for the convenience of visitors. Outdoor communal memorial altars will also be installed and operated.
Prior to this, starting on September 22, the corporation has been conducting special safety inspections at all facilities to prevent disasters and accidents, and is also running a "No Giving or Receiving Gifts" campaign.
Lee Kyungyun, Acting President, stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure the successful implementation of the comprehensive Chuseok holiday plan so that citizens and those returning home can enjoy a safe and comfortable holiday."
