Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on the 29th that it held the "3rd Guri City Youth Policy Coordination Committee Appointment Ceremony and 2025 Regular Meeting" at the city hall situation room on the 26th.

원본보기 아이콘The newly launched 3rd Youth Policy Coordination Committee consists of a total of 20 members, including 12 youth members selected through an open recruitment process, 3 experts, 1 city council member, and 4 ex officio public officials.
Over the next two years, the committee will carry out key responsibilities such as reviewing Guri City's basic and implementation plans for youth policy, monitoring and evaluating the performance of youth policy initiatives, and coordinating and cooperating on youth policy projects.
During the regular meeting held after the appointment ceremony, the committee elected a chairperson and vice chairperson, and reviewed the progress of 54 projects across three areas of youth policy.
In particular, the meeting featured in-depth discussions on the future direction of youth policy, strategies to bridge the youth digital divide through AI education, and promotional strategies for various ongoing city projects.
Presenting the letters of appointment, Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "Guri City recognizes the importance of youth policy and is pursuing a wide range of initiatives that encompass all aspects of young people's lives, including participation, employment, housing, welfare, and culture. Going forward, I ask for your active advice and cooperation so that we can reflect the real voices of young people in our policies and bring about tangible changes they can feel."
