This project is being implemented with 728 million won in national funding from the Ministry of Science and ICT.

The main components of the project include: ▲ Multipurpose AI Poles (supporting a safer environment), ▲ Smart Parking Information Sharing Service (providing convenience in living spaces), and ▲ Smart Pedestrian Safety Service (improving pedestrian-centered conditions). In particular, the initiative focuses on delivering practical smart services that residents can directly experience by integrating ICT (Information and Communication Technology).

First, the multipurpose AI poles play a role in strengthening safety by integrating security CCTVs, emergency bells, IoT sensor security lights, and information media boards.

The Smart Parking Information Sharing Service collects and analyzes parking data from the Jagam-dong Community Center and nearby roadside parking lots in order to address parking shortages in areas with many aging homes. It provides real-time information on available parking spaces via electronic displays. Additionally, by linking this information with nearby public parking lots, the service helps improve residents' daily convenience.

The Smart Pedestrian Safety Service establishes 'smart crosswalks' and 'IoT walkways' at village entrances and exits and in school zones where traffic accidents frequently occur. These features provide real-time warnings to both drivers and pedestrians, creating a pedestrian-centered safety environment.

Through this pilot operation, the city aims to stabilize the service, further supplement and enhance insufficient features in the future, and develop it into a model for expanding smart city services that residents can truly experience.

Mayor Kim Donggeun stated, "The Smart Village is a model for upgrading residents' living environments to the next level," adding, "Starting with Kkotdongnae in Jagam-dong, we will continue to expand smart city services that all citizens can experience."
