Yangju City Implements Household Waste Management Plan for Chuseok Holiday

Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will implement the '2025 Chuseok Holiday Household Waste Management Plan' during the upcoming Chuseok holiday.

To ensure that Yangju residents and visitors returning home can enjoy a pleasant and clean holiday during the Chuseok break from October 3 to 9, the city will collect all types of household waste-including volume-based waste bags, food waste, and recyclables-on two designated days: October 4 and October 7. This plan aims to prevent inconvenience to citizens caused by the increased volume of household waste generated during the holiday period.

In addition, Yangju City will organize and operate special teams such as the 'Situation Duty Team,' 'Clean Task Force,' and 'Mobile Cleaning Team' to respond quickly to household waste management and various environmental complaints during the holiday.

A city official stated, "We ask all Yangju residents and visitors to join efforts to reduce household waste generated during the holiday so that everyone can enjoy a clean and pleasant Chuseok." The official also requested, "Please dispose of household waste according to the designated collection schedule and observe the specified disposal hours, which are from 8 p.m. on the day before collection to 6 a.m. on the day of collection."
