The Office of the President is continuing real-time monitoring regarding the fire. On this day, the fourth day since the fire at the Daejeon National Information Resources Service, President Lee Jaemyung has been receiving real-time updates on the situation. At the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting the previous day (the 28th), President Lee instructed, "Restore the system even if it means working through the night." He especially emphasized the need to focus all efforts on resuming postal, parcel, and financial services, for which demand increases ahead of Chuseok.

It is expected that a report will also be made on the background of the lack of a fire response system. President Lee noted, "In 2023, there was also significant damage due to a large-scale network failure, and there are indications that the circumstances of this fire are very similar," calling for a thorough investigation.

A comprehensive inspection of other national infrastructure networks has also been announced. President Lee ordered, "Investigate swiftly and thoroughly from the ground up to ensure there are no issues at the root."

Both the ruling and opposition parties have called for rapid recovery and identification of the cause. Jeong Cheongrae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said at the Supreme Council meeting at the National Assembly, "Do your utmost to quickly restore government systems to normal operation and minimize inconvenience for the public." Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, stated at the Supreme Council meeting held at Incheon Tourism Organization, "The most important thing is to first determine the cause of the fire, and the next is to restore operations quickly."

Lee Junseok, leader of the Reform Party, wrote on social media, "This is an issue that requires fundamental refactoring," and added, "It will require sufficient budget and time."
