Ensuring Safety at Land and Transport Research Facilities... Agency and Institutions Sign Business Agreement

The Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement signed a business agreement on the 26th with six major experimental facilities in the land and transport sector to strengthen the safety management system of research facilities and prevent safety accidents involving researchers.


The institutions that entered into the agreement with the agency are the Extreme Performance Testing Center at Seoul National University, the Climate Environment Demonstration Center at the Korea Conformity Laboratories, the Housing Performance Development Research Center at Korea Land & Housing Corporation, the International Convergence Hydraulic Experiment Center at Korea Rural Community Corporation, the Meteorological Reproduction Road Demonstration Center at Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology, and the Road Driving Simulator Experimental Site at Korea Expressway Corporation.


Through this agreement, the parties have decided to share key safety information, conduct on-site safety inspections, and collaborate on the use of research facilities and equipment. They also plan to work together in various ways to ensure the safety and human rights of researchers, including jointly promoting safety and human rights campaigns. Kim Junghee, President of the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement, stated, "With this agreement as an opportunity, we will continue to strengthen the safety management system of large-scale experimental facilities to protect the lives of researchers and respond swiftly to safety accidents."
