The Sejong Autonomous Police Committee announced on September 26 that it held the appointment ceremony and regular meeting for the second Policy Support Group on September 25.
The support group consists of a total of 15 experts from various fields, including public safety, women and youth, transportation, and law. Their term is one year, with the possibility of reappointment. The Policy Support Group is tasked with conducting research and providing advice for the establishment and evaluation of autonomous police policies, as well as identifying public safety services tailored to regional characteristics.
During the regular meeting, the committee shared the operational status of major autonomous police policies, including Senior Police, the Electric Bicycle Patrol Team, and the Sejong Taekwondo Patrol Unit, followed by a discussion on the future direction of the Sejong Autonomous Police.
Chairman Nam Taekhwa stated, "In pursuing policies that prioritize citizen safety, in-depth advice from experts is crucial," adding, "Together with the second Policy Support Group, we will strengthen field-oriented autonomous police activities."
