On September 26, Choi Taekwon, Head of Sales at Emart, was appointed as the new CEO of SSG.com, the online shopping mall affiliated with Shinsegae Group.

Born in 1967, the new CEO Choi graduated from Whimoon High School and Hanyang University with a degree in Chinese Language and Literature, and joined Shinsegae in 1996.

Since then, he has served as Head of the Tianjin Office for Shinsegae Emart, Head of Store Operations at Emart, Executive Director in charge of logistics at Emart’s Management Support Division, Executive Director in charge of SCM 3.0 (Supply Chain Management) at Emart’s Development Division, Head of Sales at SSG.com, Head of Sales at Emart, Head of Planning and Development at Emart, Executive Vice President overseeing Emart’s overall operations, Head of Traders Division, and most recently, Head of Sales at Emart.

Shinsegae stated, "As an expert in supply chain management with extensive experience in both online and offline sectors, the new CEO Choi is expected to establish a close collaboration system between Emart and SSG.com, and maximize SSG.com’s unique competitiveness in areas such as fresh food and delivery."
