On September 24, Odongdong in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, announced that the Masan Muhak Lions Club had donated 65 bags of rice ahead of the Chuseok holiday to share warmth and love with neighbors.
The Masan Muhak Lions Club continues to carry out various activities every year to support marginalized neighbors in the local community. For this Chuseok, the club donated rice to be delivered to vulnerable groups in the area, including low-income families, elderly people living alone, and people with disabilities. The purpose is to help them feel less isolated and enjoy a warmer holiday season.
Kim Changsu, president of the Masan Muhak Lions Club, said, "As we approach Chuseok, I hope our small gesture will bring comfort and hope to those who are marginalized in our community. We will continue to engage in sharing activities and work hard for the greater welfare of our local community."
Cho Ilyong, head of Odongdong, stated, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Masan Muhak Lions Club for their constant dedication to the development and service of our community. I hope that as these acts of sharing continue, Changwon will grow into an even warmer and better place to live."
