Business Agreement Signed to Support Healthy Growth of Children at Local Centers

The Child Care Division of Yangsan City (Director Song Seongmi) signed a business agreement on September 23 with the College of Nursing at Pusan National University (Professor Son Hyunmi) for a health education collaboration project with local children's centers in Yangsan.

This project, which is being relaunched this year following the initial agreement in 2024, aims to provide systematic health education services to children using local children's centers and to support their healthy growth and development.

Five teams, each consisting of professors, graduate students, and undergraduates from the College of Nursing at Pusan National University, as well as about 15 external instructors, will visit five local children's centers in Yangsan City. Over the course of approximately three months, they will conduct programs on preventing the use of harmful substances, establishing healthy lifestyle habits, preventing infectious diseases, and providing sex education to enhance gender sensitivity.

Professor Son Hyunmi said, "I hope this business agreement, which utilizes the human resources of Pusan National University, will serve as a great opportunity to have a positive impact on the children of Yangsan City. We will actively participate in community care projects."

Song Seongmi, Director of the Child Care Division, stated, "I am grateful for the active efforts in creating diverse health education programs for the children at Yangsan City's local children's centers. I hope this business agreement will further strengthen the organic cooperation system between the two institutions."
