Korea Investment Management announced on September 24 that the net asset value of the ACE US Big Tech TOP7 Plus Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) has surpassed 800 billion won.
According to the Korea Exchange, the net asset value of the ACE US Big Tech TOP7 Plus ETF stood at 828.2 billion won as of September 23. This marks a 42.5% increase compared to the end of last year. The steady inflow of funds since the beginning of the year contributed to this growth. So far this year, 158.2 billion won has flowed into the ETF, with more than half-85.2 billion won-coming from individual investors.
The ACE US Big Tech TOP7 Plus ETF, launched by Korea Investment Management in September 2023, is a product focused on investing in major US big tech companies. It includes the top 10 companies by market capitalization listed on the US Nasdaq Exchange. In particular, approximately 95% of the fund is invested in the top 7 out of these 10 companies.
The current top holdings are: ▲Google (Alphabet A, 18.78%) ▲Apple (15.13%) ▲Nvidia (14.14%) ▲Amazon.com (13.56%) ▲Microsoft (13.36%) ▲Broadcom (10.76%) ▲Meta (9.22%). As a product that invests in the top big tech companies, it regularly reflects market changes through periodic asset rebalancing. For example, at the end of July, T-Mobile was removed and Palantir was added to the portfolio.
The long-term performance has also been outstanding. The ACE US Big Tech TOP7 Plus ETF posted a two-year return of 122.03%. Excluding leveraged products, this ranks first among big tech ETFs (based on ETF CHECK classification, 24 products). Its returns over the past year and past six months were 42.46% and 31.22%, respectively, outperforming the average for big tech ETFs, which stood at 29.90% and 24.34%.
Nam Yongsoo, Head of ETF Management at Korea Investment Management, explained, "The leading US big tech companies not only continue to deliver upward-trending results but also solidify their market positions through aggressive investments in technology development." He added, "Since the ACE US Big Tech TOP7 Plus ETF focuses on the top big tech companies by market capitalization, investors can diversify their investments among these leading companies and benefit from market growth."
The ACE US Big Tech TOP7 Plus ETF is a performance-dividend product, and past performance does not guarantee future results. In addition, principal loss may occur depending on the management outcome.
