KICPA Successfully Holds 60th CPA Exam Passers Welcome Event

The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on September 22 that it held the "60th Certified Public Accountant Exam Passers Welcome and Networking Event" at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel in Seoul on the 18th. This event was attended by over 1,000 people, including this year's successful candidates and their families.

The event was divided into two parts. In the first part, after the awarding of certificates and the oath of the code of ethics, former professional Go player Lee Sedol delivered a special lecture on the topic "What Only Accountants Can Do in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)." In addition, during a talk concert featuring senior accountants, attendees received advice necessary for career planning and adapting to practical work.

The second part featured a team-building program, providing an opportunity for the successful candidates to interact with one another. Participants formed teams to engage in games and discussions, and also elected the representative for the 60th class, laying the foundation for ongoing networking.

Choi Unyeol, chairman of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, stated on this day, "We organized this gathering to encourage new certified public accountants, who have passed a difficult hurdle, to take their first steps as professionals while communicating and building unity with their peers." He added, "I hope you will strictly uphold professional ethics as guardians of capitalism and contribute to the development of the nation and society in the future."
