Are you familiar with 'Bank Diary'?
A new app has recently been launched that allows users to manage hidden insurance policies, challenging insurance claims, health predictions, and medical checkup reservations all in one place. Essentially, it puts a comprehensive health management platform right in the palm of your hand.
According to the Financial Services Commission this year, the amount of unclaimed insurance payouts in South Korea has reached 11.2 trillion won. Since insurance benefits cannot be claimed after three years, consumers need to check and claim them promptly.
Bank Diary Co., Ltd., an insurance and healthcare platform company, released an upgraded version of its 'Bank Diary' app on September 15, enhancing the feature for finding unclaimed insurance payouts. In addition to the existing insurance claim function, the new version now offers services such as viewing medical checkup results, health prediction, and making medical checkup reservations.
Bank Diary, which has signed business agreements with major medical checkup centers in Busan, is accelerating the expansion of its nationwide network. Through these partnerships, the company provides citizens with convenient access to health checkups and offers discounts.
The Bank Diary app enables users to claim insurance payouts from all insurance companies at once through automatic search, even if they do not know which company they are insured with. In the future, patients visiting hospitals will also be able to use the app for one-stop insurance claim services.
Currently in Busan, many institutions, including hospitals under the Eunseong Medical Foundation and the Busan Mirae IFC Medical Checkup Center, have partnered with Bank Diary. The company plans to expand its partnerships to other regions such as Yeongnam, the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Honam, and Gangwon, while sequentially introducing customized checkup packages and a user-friendly interface.
Kim Seungwook, CEO of Bank Diary, stated, "We aim to expand beyond an insurtech app to become a nationwide insurance and healthcare network. Our goal is to enable customers to easily find and book suitable medical checkup institutions and conveniently claim insurance payouts, all through a single app."
A representative from a partner checkup institution also commented, "By collaborating with the Bank Diary platform, we will precisely connect local checkup demand and improve satisfaction through accurate readings and prompt post-checkup management."
This app also allows users to check when they can start receiving their national pension and view estimated amounts. By using this feature, users can systematically prepare for their future pension plans. The company aims to grow into an integrated health management platform encompassing insurance, healthcare, and medical checkups.
Bank Diary offers a wide range of insurance-centered healthcare functions in a single platform, including insurance inquiry, insurance claim support, medical expense inquiry, finding unclaimed insurance payouts, viewing medical checkup results, health prediction, and making reservations for checkups at partner hospitals.
Jo Jaemin, head of the business division, introduced, "The app is linked to a professional-only version, supporting customer management, coverage analysis, and remote consultations."
Bank Diary Co., Ltd., an insurance and healthcare platform company, recently launched version 3.0 of the Bank Diary app, further strengthening its healthcare features. The company began developing the app in June 2020 and registered its trademark in November of the same year. After releasing the first version in February 2021, it introduced version 2.0 in July 2021 with enhanced insurance claim features, and in September this year, released version 3.0 with expanded medical checkup integration. In April 2021, the company also developed its own real-time remote insurance consultation system, broadening its service range.
CEO Kim Seungwook said, "We will continue to upgrade the platform so that customers can conveniently use it in all aspects of their daily lives, as it evolves to encompass both insurance and healthcare."
