The '2025 Busan International Marketing & Advertising Festival Creative Popup' will be held for three days from September 19 to 21 at the annex of the Busan Modern and Contemporary History Museum.
This event, themed 'Creative Advertising That Changes the World,' consists of lectures and exhibitions by active industry professionals in Korea, as well as a job mentoring program for young people. It is an extension of the '2025 Busan International Marketing & Advertising Festival' held for industry experts in August, and is open to the public free of charge.
The event is largely divided into lectures and exhibitions. The lectures will take place from September 19 to 20. Kim Janghan, co-CEO of Dminusone, will open with a session on 'Social Value Management (ESG) Branding: The Era of Good Brands.' Lee Seungjae, CEO of Ideot, will discuss 'Solvertising: Advertising That Directly Solves Problems,' and Dolphin Kidnapper director Lee Minseop will present under the theme 'Hey, Did You See That?' A total of eight speakers will take the stage.
The exhibition will continue until September 21. Among the major award-winning works from the 18th Busan International Marketing & Advertising Festival, a total of 29 pieces will be displayed, including two Grand Prix winners. These include 'Scoliosis #StripesFitCheck' by MULLENLOWE TREYNA from the Philippines and 'Uncle KFC's Rice Bowl' by Wolf BBK from Thailand. The city explained that this exhibition demonstrates how advertising can drive social change and deliver messages that connect society.
Jo Yujang, Director of Culture for the city, stated, "Artificial intelligence (AI) is opening a new horizon in advertising and marketing, and Korea's creativity is already highly regarded worldwide. This 'Busan International Marketing & Advertising Festival Creative Popup' will be a great opportunity for citizens to directly observe the latest trends in the industry."
