Yangyang County in Gangwon Province announced on September 19 that, in order to expedite the distribution of the second round of livelihood recovery consumption coupons and stimulate spending, village officers will begin official visits to each village starting September 22.
As with the first round, the second round will also involve village officers visiting each village in person to deliver prepaid cards directly. During the first round, this method of on-site distribution received positive feedback from residents, resulting in a swift and convenient process.
The county will organize official visits to a total of 124 villages from September 22 to September 30. The specific schedule and locations will be determined in consultation with each village.
Additionally, residents may receive their prepaid cards at any time by bringing a valid ID to their local township or town office, regardless of the village officer's visit schedule.
The second round of consumption coupons will be distributed to approximately 90% of the population, based on income level, with 100,000 won provided per person. The application period runs from September 22 to October 31, and the distributed prepaid cards can be used until November 30.
An official from Yangyang County stated, "We hope that the second round of livelihood recovery consumption coupons will greatly contribute to stabilizing residents' lives, boosting consumption, and ultimately revitalizing the local economy," adding, "As with the first round, we will thoroughly prepare to ensure that residents can receive these benefits without inconvenience."
