Jinan County to Hold "Payback Event" at Red Ginseng Festival from September 26 to 28

The Jinan Red Ginseng and Oriental Medicine Cluster Project Group in North Jeolla Province will hold a payback event during the "2025 Jinan Red Ginseng Festival," which will take place from September 26 to 28.

According to the county on September 19, this payback event has been organized to promote the consumption of red ginseng, fresh ginseng, and local agricultural specialties, as well as to revitalize the local commercial district. Visitors to the festival who purchase Jinan red ginseng, fresh ginseng, or local agricultural specialties will receive a portion of their payment back in the form of "Jinan Plateau Happiness Gift Certificates" in a consumer reward event.

During the event period, the amount of the payback will vary according to the purchase amount (10,000 won for purchases of 50,000 won or more; 20,000 won for 100,000 won or more; 30,000 won for 150,000 won or more; 40,000 won for 200,000 won or more; with a maximum of 40,000 won per person). This offer is only available for purchases made at the red ginseng, fresh ginseng, and local specialty product booths within the festival venue.

To apply, visitors simply need to present their receipt and identification at the event booth after purchasing the relevant products. Since the payback is provided in local gift certificates, it can be freely used at affiliated stores in the region. The county expects this will both increase consumer satisfaction and create a virtuous cycle for the local economy.

Kim Jeongbae, head of the Cluster Project Group, said, "The Jinan Red Ginseng Festival is the only red ginseng festival in the country, offering a chance to purchase high-quality Jinan red ginseng and local specialties at reasonable prices. Through the payback benefit, consumers will enjoy practical savings, producers will gain sales momentum, and the local economy will be strengthened."
