Shinhan Financial Group Sponsors National Golf Prospect Yoo Minhyuk

Shinhan Financial Group announced on September 17 that it has signed a sponsorship contract with Yoo Minhyuk, a national golf team player who is showing rapid growth in men’s amateur golf and is currently a second-year student at Sogang High School.

Yoo Minhyuk was the inaugural champion of the "Shinhan Donghae Men’s Amateur Championship," which was established by Shinhan Financial Group last year. He achieved back-to-back victories by winning the second tournament held this July. He also made a strong impression by winning the BlueOne Cup Korea Junior Golf Championship.

Shinhan Financial Group explained that it decided to sponsor Yoo Minhyuk after highly evaluating his growth potential, as he participated in the 41st Shinhan Donghae Open as the winner of the Shinhan Donghae Men’s Amateur Championship.

Chairman Jin Okdong stated, "I hope that Yoo Minhyuk will achieve even greater dreams on the global stage, beyond Korea, with the strong support of Shinhan Financial Group." Yoo Minhyuk expressed his gratitude, saying, "I will do my best to deliver good results in return for this support."
