Korea Railroad Corporation announced that on the afternoon of the 16th, it directly inspected platform screen doors (PSD) and worker safety equipment at Seoul Station on the Gyeongui Line.

Jeong Jeongrae, Acting President of Korea Railroad Corporation, visited the site that day to check the status of platform screen door installations and the safety nets installed to prevent falls onto the tracks. He urged staff to conduct thorough pre-inspections to ensure the safety of both passengers and workers.

Following this, Acting President Jeong held a "Metropolitan Subway Maintenance Safety Inspection Meeting" attended by architecture and rolling stock managers from three regional headquarters in the Seoul metropolitan area.

During the meeting, participants discussed measures to strengthen maintenance of major facilities such as platform screen doors and platform equipment, as well as management strategies for key components including train wheels and pantographs.
