Kim Se-young Climbs Four Spots to 23rd in World Rankings

Earns Points with Tied 5th Finish at Kroger Queen City Championship
Thitikul, Korda, and Lydia Ko Remain in Top 3

Kim Seyoung has risen to 23rd in the world rankings.


In the weekly women's golf world rankings announced on September 15 (local time), she earned 3.26 points, moving up four spots from 27th place last week. She gained points by finishing tied for 5th place-her best result of the year-at the Kroger Queen City Championship (total prize money: 2 million dollars) on the LPGA Tour, held the previous day at TPC River's Bend (par 72) in Hamilton Township, Ohio, USA. Kim Seyoung is currently on a strong run, having finished in the top 10 in three consecutive tournaments.

There were no changes at the top of the rankings. Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand), Nelly Korda (USA), and Lydia Ko (New Zealand) maintained their positions in the top three. Charley Hull (England), who won the Kroger Queen City Championship, jumped from 8th to 5th place. Among Korean players, Kim Hyojoo is ranked 9th, Yoo Haeran is 12th, Ko Jinyoung is 17th, and Choi Hyejin is 21st. Bang Shinsil, who won the OK Savings Bank Ootman Open on the KLPGA Tour, climbed 14 spots from 63rd last week to 49th place.
