On September 14, Kim Bohyeop posted on his social media, "The complainant raised allegations of sexual assault, and the party expelled me without any verification, uncritically accepting the results of an external investigation without checking whether it was conducted objectively and fairly," he said.
Kim Bohyeop countered the claims made by former spokesperson Kang Mijeong by listing each case. Regarding the allegation that he committed misconduct at a karaoke bar with party staff at the end of last year, he stated, "There was no sexual harassment at the karaoke bar as claimed by the complainant. Other than the complainant, only one party staff member supported this claim. The rest said that nothing of the sort happened or that they did not remember it."
In response to the allegation that he committed sexual assault in a taxi in July of the same year, he said, "This is also a false claim. I have provided the police with all the information about the Kakao Taxi I used at the time and the driver, and requested an investigation."
Kim Bohyeop also addressed the claim that he made sexually inappropriate remarks during the party's outdoor 'three steps one bow' protest calling for the impeachment of former President Yoon Sukyeol. He said, "It was impossible to see Kang's back while she was bowing, and I have no idea how I could have made any sexual remarks during such a physically demanding protest, walking three steps and bowing from Gwanghwamun to the Constitutional Court."
