BNK Busan Bank Opens 2nd "BNK Healthy Donation Staircase" at Busan Station and Delivers Accumulated Funds

BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) held the "2nd BNK Healthy Donation Staircase Opening Ceremony and Fund Transfer Ceremony" on the afternoon of the 10th at the platform of Busan Station on Line 1 of the Busan Metro.

The event was attended by representatives from major local organizations, including Busan Transportation Corporation, Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, and Inje Academy, who participated in both the donation handover and the opening ceremony.

The "BNK Healthy Donation Staircase" is a citizen participation-based social contribution facility, where a donation of 10 KRW is accumulated for each person who chooses to use the stairs instead of the escalator.

Busan Bank first installed the Healthy Donation Staircase in June 2016 at Kyungsung University·Pukyong National University Station on Line 2 of the Busan Metro, and this year, the second staircase was established and opened at Busan Station.

Busan Bank has consistently promoted a culture of sharing, donating a total of 180 million KRW over the past nine years, with an annual contribution of 20 million KRW each year.

At this ceremony, a total of 20 million KRW was delivered to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation to support medical expenses for underprivileged mothers and children, comprising 9.5 million KRW accumulated over the past year through the first Healthy Donation Staircase and an additional 10.5 million KRW contributed by Busan Bank.

Park Mooncheol, Head of Busan Sales Headquarters at Busan Bank, stated, "I hope the BNK Healthy Donation Staircase becomes a place where the healthy steps of citizens come together to bring hope to our neighbors," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in making Busan a happy city where sharing is a part of everyday life."

Since 2015, Busan Bank has been operating the "Empathy Donation Project," where stories of neighbors in need are posted on the "Busan Bank Social Contribution Activities Website," and donations are accumulated and delivered to the individuals based on the number of clicks from citizens.
