Lotte Construction Completes Framework Construction of Affiliate's Songdo Bio Campus First Plant

Lotte Construction announced on September 10 that it has completed the structural framework for the first plant of Lotte Biologics Songdo Bio Campus, a subsidiary of the group. The company held a topping-out ceremony at the advanced industrial cluster site in Songdo International City, Incheon the previous day, wishing for the safe completion of the project.

The first plant of the Songdo Bio Campus is a state-of-the-art facility for producing antibody pharmaceuticals, with a total floor area of 99,558 square meters. It is designed to house three production lines, each with a capacity of 120,000 liters. The framework was completed in just 18 months after construction began in March 2024. The target for full completion is the second half of 2026.

Lotte Construction held a topping-out ceremony for the first plant of the Incheon Lotte Biologics Songdo Bio Campus on the 9th. The topping-out ceremony is an event where the ridge beam, the uppermost member of the roof in traditional architecture, is raised. Lotte Construction plans to build the first plant based on the "smart factory" concept, aiming to maximize production efficiency and advance its quality management system.
