"Beyond 30 Years, Leaping into Yangsan's Future"... Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival Promotion Status Report Meeting Held

Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province held a promotion status report meeting for the 2025 Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival on the morning of September 10 in the main conference room at Yangsan City Hall.

This meeting was organized as the Yangsan Cultural Foundation, which was established in July this year, is participating for the first time as the host and organizer of the region's representative festival, the Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival. Jointly hosted by the city and the foundation, the event served as an opportunity to share the festival's preparation status and plans, and to gather a wide range of opinions from citizens, experts, and various sectors of the community.

During the meeting, the basic plans and main programs of the festival were introduced, and discussions were held on progressive operational strategies, reflecting the expectations and feedback of the local community.

In particular, the Yangsan Cultural Foundation will play a central role in festival safety management, ensuring thorough preparation and meticulous oversight to guarantee on-site safety. Yangsan City, the police department, the fire department, and other related agencies will work closely together to establish an integrated safety response system. Various measures are also being pursued to ensure citizen safety and create a pleasant festival environment.

Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "This festival is a meaningful event, as it marks the first time the city and the foundation are co-hosting since the foundation's launch. We are pooling the capabilities of local arts and culture to prepare a diverse and substantial festival, and we aim to make it an event that everyone can enjoy and that will greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy."

The 2025 Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival will be held over three days, from September 26 to 28, at the Yangsancheon riverside and the area around Yangsan Sports Complex.

This year's festival theme is "Beyond 30 Years, Leaping into Yangsan's Future," and a variety of programs will be offered for all generations, including an opening ceremony, fireworks show, National Samjangsu Gisang Dance Competition, citizen participation performances and booths, and a food festival.
