DHX Company Accelerates Overseas Business Expansion

Targeting Overseas Markets with K-Culture

DHX Company announced on September 10 that it is accelerating its overseas business expansion to improve the business structure of its distribution division and increase sales profits.

Starting with Japan, the company is pursuing business diversification focused on major Asian countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, China, and Indonesia, and is actively targeting overseas markets.

Since the second half of last year, DHX Company has focused on securing distribution channels and sales routes to enter the Japanese market. The company is supplying processed products based on Jeju specialty goods to convenience stores and supermarket chains in Japan, in cooperation with local companies such as Shine Trading Co., Ltd. and MOIDA Co., Ltd.

To ensure a successful foothold in overseas business, DHX Company is not simply exporting products but is quickly responding to local market needs. The company has formed strategic partnerships with specialized firms that can jointly develop products and markets locally. Imi Sun, CEO of MOIDA Co., Ltd., who has entered into a strategic partnership with DHX Company, previously served as Deputy Director of the Tokyo Trade Office at Jeju Economic and Trade Promotion Agency. She has extensive experience supporting exchanges between local governments and private networks between Korea and Japan, which is expected to greatly aid in targeting the Japanese market.

To secure a mutual distribution bridge between Korea and Japan based on the Korean Wave, DHX Company is collaborating with COSMIC Co., Ltd., a Japanese company that holds licenses for numerous Korean plays and musicals in Japan. The company is strengthening its Japan-targeted distribution marketing by combining K-culture. COSMIC Co., Ltd. works with major Japanese distributors such as Ministop, FamilyMart, and Don Quijote, and is drawing attention as an innovative marketing collaboration model for overseas companies with low brand recognition in Japan.

Lee Sangwook, CEO of DHX Company, said, "Following our participation in the 'Promising Tech Service Export Consultation' in Vietnam hosted by the Korea Innovative Small and Medium Enterprises Association in Hanoi in June, we will also take part in the 'International Premium Consumer Goods Exhibition' in Indonesia hosted by the Korea International Trade Association." He added, "Through active exports, we will promote the excellence of K-food combined with K-culture in Japan and various Southeast Asian countries." He continued, "We will actively pioneer overseas markets and drive continuous sales growth."
