SK AX Supports AI Transformation for All Shinhan Bank Employees: "Restructuring Organizational Work Methods"

On September 4, SK AX announced that it has launched a project to build a generative AI platform that will enable all employees of Shinhan Bank to easily utilize artificial intelligence (AI).

This project is significant in that it aims not only to automate certain tasks, but also to restructure the entire work process of the financial organization around AI. For example, generative AI will be established as a practical tool for a variety of tasks, including report writing, customer data analysis, and internal decision-making support.

To begin with, the company will introduce the enterprise AI platform 'A.DotX (A.X) Platform', co-developed with SK Telecom. The A.DotX Platform offers a fine-tuning feature that allows various pre-built AI models to be quickly optimized for specific business purposes, as well as a 'no-code builder' that enables users to assemble AI functions like building blocks and deploy them as services without coding knowledge.

As a result, any Shinhan Bank employee is expected to be able to easily create and directly utilize AI tailored to their own work, thanks to this practical environment.

Based on the A.DotX Platform, the company has built an 'AI All-in-One Portal' that integrates all processes from AI generation to execution and management, and has enabled automatic AI quality improvement.

Additionally, by applying graphics processing unit (GPU) virtualization technology, the platform enables multiple users and services to utilize it simultaneously and reliably, creating an environment where various AI services can operate smoothly.

The security system has also been enhanced to meet financial industry standards, applying advanced security features across the platform such as: a multi-stage security pipeline; sensitive information masking; access control by user authority; and audit log management, thereby ensuring the safe protection of sensitive financial data.

Kim Namsik, Head of Financial Business Division at SK AX, stated, "This project marks the starting point of Financial AX, which redesigns the way the entire financial organization works around AI," adding, "We will continue to provide AI technologies tailored to the characteristics of the financial sector to deliver real results in the workplace."
