President Trump, speaking to reporters during a summit with Polish President Karol Nawrocki in the Oval Office at the White House, said, "I will be speaking with him (President Zelensky) very soon, and we will know almost everything about what we are going to do."

This statement comes as the deadline approaches for the two-week period Trump set on August 18, when he announced he would arrange a bilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Zelensky.

When asked if he had a message for President Putin, Trump replied firmly, "No." He added, "He knows where I stand and will make a decision one way or another. If we are not satisfied with his decision, we will see what happens next," he warned.

This remark is interpreted as expressing frustration over the lack of progress in ceasefire negotiations, as President Putin has outwardly shown willingness for talks but has maintained an uncooperative stance. However, although President Trump has issued several warnings, he has not taken any concrete measures or strong actions to pressure Russia.

In addition, President Trump commented on the recent gathering of the leaders of North Korea, China, and Russia for China's Victory Day celebrations, saying, "I have a very good relationship with all of them," and added, "You will see just how good in the next week or two." Despite projections that North Korea, China, and Russia may strengthen their anti-U.S. alliance, Trump appeared outwardly unconcerned.

He also responded to questions about the Chinese Victory Day military parade by saying, "President Xi Jinping of China is my friend, but the United States absolutely should have been mentioned in his speech. I was very surprised that it was not," adding, "That is because we helped China so much." This is interpreted as a reminder that the Allied powers, including the United States, greatly assisted China by defeating Japan during World War II, when China was at war with Japan.

President Trump described the parade itself as "a beautiful and impressive event."
