S-OIL (CEO: Anwar Al Hejazi) is launching the 'My GoodLOVES' campaign to reduce the indiscriminate use of disposable plastic gloves at self-service gas stations and encourage the use of personalized fueling gloves.
Last year, through the 'GoodLOVES' campaign, S-OIL contributed to reducing single-use products by collecting disposable plastic gloves discarded at gas stations and upcycling them into reusable fueling gloves, which were then produced and distributed.
This year, with a more advanced approach for Season 2, the company has organized a practical campaign that allows anyone to easily participate in using reusable fueling gloves. 'GoodLOVES' is a coined term combining 'Good' and 'Loves' to express goodwill towards the planet, as well as 'Gloves' to represent gloves.
The core message of this campaign is "Any glove can become a fueling glove." It suggests that consumers repurpose gloves they no longer use in daily life as reusable fueling gloves at self-service stations, conveying the idea that each person's own gloves can replace disposable plastic gloves and become their 'personal fueling gloves.'
S-OIL has produced a video that anthropomorphizes gloves as 3D characters, humorously depicting gloves with various stories-such as a glove that lost its pair, an old glove forgotten in a closet, or kitchen rubber gloves nearing replacement-being reborn as friendly characters and actively used at gas stations.
The 'My GoodLOVES' campaign video will be released through S-OIL’s YouTube and Instagram channels, and a consumer participation event will be held alongside the video release.
Until September 14, participants who introduce their unique 'personal fueling gloves' and use the designated hashtag will have a chance to win prizes such as Stanley tumblers and Starbucks gifticons through a drawing.
An S-OIL representative stated, "Even small items can create meaningful change when given new purpose," and added, "We hope the My GoodLOVES campaign will serve as an easy starting point for environmental protection in daily life and that many consumers will join in with enthusiasm."
