The Jeonnam Headquarters of Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) announced on September 2 that it will conduct train ticket reservations for the Chuseok holiday over a four-day period from the 15th to the 18th.

This reservation process will be conducted non-face-to-face through the Korail Talk app and the official website, and only registered railway members are eligible to make reservations. The tickets available for reservation are for trains operating from October 2 to October 12.

First, on September 15 and 16, priority reservations will be offered for two days to transportation-vulnerable groups (seniors, people with disabilities, and national merit recipients). On September 15, the lines included are Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, Donghae, Chungbuk, Jungbunaeryuk, Gyeongbuk, and Gyoe lines. On September 16, the Jeolla, Honam, Gangneung, Janghang, Jungang, Taebaek, Yeongdong, Seohae, and Gyeongchun lines will be included.

Next, on September 17 and 18, reservations will be open to all citizens, including transportation-vulnerable groups. On September 17, tickets for the Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, Donghae, Chungbuk, Jungbunaeryuk, Gyeongbuk, and Gyoe lines can be reserved, while on September 18, tickets for the Jeolla, Honam, Gangneung, Janghang, Jungang, Taebaek, Yeongdong, Seohae, and Gyeongchun lines will be available.

Reserved tickets must be paid for between September 18 and September 21. Tickets not paid for within this period will be automatically canceled and assigned with priority to those on the reservation waiting list.

Meanwhile, any remaining seats not sold during the advance reservation period can be purchased from 3 p.m. on September 18 through both online and offline channels, including the Korail Talk app, the official website, and station ticket counters. Detailed information about train operations during the Chuseok holiday period can be found on the Korail website or the Korail Talk app.
