Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH) announced on September 2 that it will pursue the "2025 Partner Companies ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Management Evaluation Support Project" to promote mutual growth with its partner companies and ensure the sustainability of its supply chain.

To strengthen the ESG management capabilities of its partners, SH supplemented its existing "Partner Company Self-Assessment Checklist" and utilized it for evaluations. In 2022, SH established the "Partner Company Code of Conduct," a set of supply chain management principles reflecting international standards such as the United Nations (UN) Global Compact and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and has supported its partners in conducting self-assessments.

The evaluation systematically checked compliance with the code of conduct in four areas: labor, environment, safety and health, and ethics and human rights, through a process of self-assessment, expert evaluation, and improvement measures.

SH has been carrying out this project since April, selecting five partner companies-among those with direct contracts and working relationships with SH-that wished to participate and providing them with support.

In particular, SH offered human rights risk assessments and customized improvement consulting to the selected companies, helping them internalize ESG and human rights management practices.

Based on the diagnosis results for each company, SH proposed specific improvement tasks such as enhancing the working environment, preventing human rights violations, and establishing a sustainable management system, while also supporting the formulation of action plans.

SH plans to expand the scope of this project in the future to support more partner companies in strengthening their sustainable management capabilities.

Hwang Sangha, President of SH, stated, "We will actively strive to enhance the competitiveness of our partner companies and achieve mutual growth," adding, "By expanding sustainable partnerships, we aim to lead the spread of ESG management and the establishment of a culture that respects human rights."
