GL Research analyzed on September 2 that ITEC is a company growing alongside semiconductor fabless companies. The firm did not provide an investment opinion or target price.
ITEC specializes in semiconductor testing. Its main business areas include wafer testing, package testing, and test program development services for its clients.
GL Research predicted that ITEC will pursue aggressive investments. Park Changyoon, a researcher at GL Research, stated, "To respond to the expanding markets related to AI and autonomous driving, the company plans to invest between 20 billion and 50 billion won in equipment." He added, "Through these strategic investments, ITEC will move beyond being a simple test service provider and establish itself as a key partner in the domestic AI semiconductor and automotive semiconductor ecosystems."
He also anticipated that ITEC will benefit from the Yellow Envelope Act. He commented, "With the implementation of the Yellow Envelope Act, quality and safety management standards across the industry are being strengthened, which is expected to indirectly boost demand for external professional testing services."
Additionally, he expected ITEC to benefit from the simultaneous growth of the robotics and fabless industries. He emphasized, "With the surging demand for industrial robots, the adoption of high-performance semiconductors is increasing. ITEC is positioning itself as a key partner capable of capturing both the expansion of the robotics industry and the growth of fabless companies."
