The semi-public village bus system is a core project for Yangju City regarding bus routes, and the city is pursuing a phased transition to this system through 2027.

This time, a pilot transition will be conducted for 10 village bus routes and 15 vehicles, with plans to gradually expand the system through future route bidding procedures.

This system aims to support the stable management of transportation companies and to strengthen the public nature of route operations, ultimately providing citizens with convenient and safe bus services.

To implement this system, the city has been steadily preparing since last year by conducting related research, holding consultations with transportation companies, and operating the semi-public system management committee. Moving forward, Yangju City plans to further develop the system through continuous monitoring.

Kang Suhyeon, Mayor of Yangju City, stated, "This semi-public village bus system will allow citizens to use public transportation more conveniently and safely, and will also contribute to stabilizing the management of transportation companies. We will continue our efforts to enhance transportation convenience for citizens and to support transportation companies in the future."
