Dongmyung University (President Lee Sangcheon) held an Open Campus event on August 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., inviting around 200 high school students and parents to the campus to showcase the unique appeal of each department.
On this day, Dongmyung University received an enthusiastic response for a variety of hands-on experiences, including: ▲Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist Experience (Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology) ▲Puppy Training Experience (Department of Pet Grooming and Behavior Correction) ▲Making Pet Toys (Department of Animal Health) ▲Personal Hair Color Diagnosis (Department of Hair Design) ▲Custom Cosmetics Making Experience (Department of Beauty Care) ▲Interior Architecture Design Experience for Creating Inspiring Spaces (Department of Interior Architecture) ▲Making Your Own Character Cookies (Department of Hotel Culinary and Bakery) ▲Understanding the Webtoon Production Process (Department of Webtoon and Animation).
A participating high school student said, "I was able to learn more about various fields I was always curious about while enjoying related hands-on experiences."
On the same day, 15 college admissions counseling teachers provided guidance on admissions to universities nationwide, while Dongmyung University admissions officers offered one-on-one personalized counseling for prospective students.
President Lee Sangcheon stated, "Dongmyung University, where the entrepreneurial spirit of the former Dongmyung Lumber Company is still alive, is contributing to the local community, the nation, and the world by putting into practice our founding philosophy of 'practical learning' through challenge, creativity, and service."
He added, "As this Open Campus event has been held for four consecutive years since 2022, I expect it has further promoted the true character of Dongmyung University as a leading institution for student-centered career and entrepreneurship services."
