Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on August 30 that it held the "2025 Licensed Real Estate Agent Training" on August 28 at the Gyeonggi Textile Comprehensive Support Center auditorium, targeting approximately 180 licensed and affiliated real estate agents operating within the city.

The licensed real estate agent training is a legally mandated course that all practicing and affiliated agents must complete every two years.

This in-person training session featured expert instructors who delivered practical lectures on topics such as real estate brokerage laws, prevention of real estate transaction accidents, and real estate taxation practices.

In particular, the training included key content from the "Safe Jeonse Project," which aims to prevent jeonse fraud-a growing social issue-by providing essential on-site information and actively encouraging participation in the "Safe Jeonse Watch Movement."

Yangju City expects that this training will enhance the work competency and expertise of licensed real estate agents, and by providing reliable brokerage services to local residents, contribute to establishing a safe brokerage culture and protecting citizens' property rights.

Mayor Suhyun Kang of Yangju stated, "I hope that by strengthening the practical capabilities of licensed real estate agents, we can prevent real estate transaction accidents such as jeonse fraud and contribute to establishing a transparent and fair trading order."

Meanwhile, those who fail to fulfill their training obligations will be subject to fines ranging from 200,000 to 1 million won, depending on the duration of non-compliance. Yangju City plans to continue encouraging participation among those who have not completed the training until the end of this year.
