A civil servant in their 30s, affiliated with the Jeonnam Provincial Government, was found dead after falling into a reservoir near the government office.

According to the Jeonnam Provincial Government and the police, authorities received a report from a citizen at around 9:50 a.m. on August 29, stating that a person had fallen into a reservoir near the government office.

Police immediately responded to the scene and recovered the body of civil servant A.

It is reported that A had recently been promoted during the regular personnel reshuffle at the Jeonnam Provincial Government in July and was known for being diligent.

The police are currently analyzing nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to investigate the exact circumstances of the death.
