Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, stated on August 28 that he does not feel the need to respond to the five questions posed to him the previous day by Jeong Cheongrae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "There is no need for me to answer political offensives filled with distortion and delusion."

At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, Jang said, "I saw that Representative Jeong posted several questions to me on Facebook, and I burst out laughing. I have accumulated a lot of fatigue during the party convention, but I am grateful that he made me laugh and helped relieve my fatigue," he said, expressing his thoughts.

The previous day, Representative Jeong had posted on his social media account, Facebook, under the title "Questions to the Leader of the People Power Party," asking five questions regarding impeachment and martial law, such as "Is it that Yoon Sukyeol should return and at least serve again as the party's spiritual leader?"

Jang stated, "Going forward, I will sincerely respond to meaningful questions that are appropriate for the dignity of the Democratic Party leader and that aim to restore politics." However, he added, "I will firmly stand up to the Democratic Party's agitation, distortions, and malicious framing, and will continue to inform the public of their unfairness."

Regarding the dismissal the previous night of the arrest warrant requested by the special prosecutor for former Prime Minister Han Ducksoo, Jang commented, "It was an entirely reasonable decision, and I welcome the court's ruling."

He continued, "A significant amount of time has passed since the special prosecutor began, so sufficient evidence must have been collected, and investigations by the prosecution and police had continued even before the special prosecutor was launched. The fact that the warrant requested at this point has been dismissed demonstrates just how unreasonable and political this special prosecution is."

He went on to say, "The special prosecutor has announced its intention to reapply for a warrant to conduct another search and seizure of the People Power Party's membership list. I hope they will reconsider the fact that they were unable to execute it because they could not find any connection to the alleged crimes."

Jang added, "If the court issues another warrant in response to this reapplication, it would mean the court itself is abandoning its role as the judiciary."
