SH and Army 52nd Division Sign MOU to Strengthen Disaster Response Cooperation

On August 27, Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH) announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Army's 52nd Infantry Division to strengthen cooperation in disaster response.

This agreement was established to address the increasing risk of disasters caused by sudden localized heavy rainfall and rapid weather changes. It aims to prepare for possible resource shortages during large-scale disasters and to establish a swift recovery and restoration system.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in the following areas: emergency restoration support from military units in the event of a disaster at SH sites; sharing information necessary for the establishment of military operational plans and mutual cooperation on disaster safety for the Great Hangang Project; and providing consolation funds to boost the morale of soldiers serving in the defense of the capital area.

Hwang Sangha, President of SH, stated, "This agreement marks a meaningful starting point for the military and SH to become reliable partners in disaster response," adding, "We will do our utmost to protect the lives and property of citizens and to create a safer city."
