Gyeryong City Expands Bus Routes with Launch of Route 200 Circular Bus

Gyeryong City in South Chungcheong Province has expanded its bus routes by launching the newly established Route 200 circular bus to improve transportation convenience for residents. This opening is being recognized as a tailored policy achievement that actively addresses transportation blind spots and local travel demand.

According to the city on August 27, the Route 200 circular bus starts at Gyeryongdae Shopping Town and passes through Yongnam High School, Doosan Apartments, Blue Hills Apartments, Gwangseok-ri, Dogok-ri, Hyanghan-ri, Eomsa Middle School, and Eomsa Intersection, before returning to Gyeryongdae Shopping Town.

In particular, to enable access to the inner parts of Jangja-dong Village in Eomsa-myeon, where large buses have difficulty entering, the city introduced the large van "Solati," operating 11 times a day and significantly alleviating residents' transportation inconveniences.

Mayor Lee Eungwoo stated, "The Route 200 circular bus is a transportation policy tailored to meet the expectations of our citizens, and we will continue to expand customized transportation services that residents can truly feel."

Meanwhile, the city plans to further strengthen its citizen-centered transportation system by reviewing additional routes and supplementing the transportation network.
