Lee Jaehyun, chairman of CJ Group, accompanied the Korea-US summit in Washington DC as part of the economic delegation. Since opening its Los Angeles office in 1978, CJ has invested approximately 8 trillion won in the United States, expanding into seven business sectors and establishing the country as a key global hub.
According to CJ Group on August 26, Chairman Lee attended the Korea-US Business Roundtable on the 25th (local time), where government officials and business leaders from both countries gathered. At the subsequent Korea-US Business Roundtable reception, Chairman Lee had a conversation with Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, and also met with Charles Rivkin, CEO of the Motion Picture Association (MPA), among others.
This marks the second time Chairman Lee has joined the president's overseas trip as part of the economic delegation, following his participation in 2023. Amid the recent global spread of K-culture, Chairman Lee reportedly engaged in natural conversations with American business leaders on topics such as K-pop and K-food.
