Mastercard Appoints New Asia Pacific President... Richard Warmald to Take Office Next Year

Mastercard announced on the 26th that Ari Sarker, President of Asia Pacific, will retire at the end of the year, and Richard Warmald, President of Australasia, will succeed him.

President Sarker has served as the head of Asia Pacific for over 10 years. After his retirement at the end of the year, he will take on an advisory role. President Warmald will assume the position of Asia Pacific President starting January 1 next year.

President Sarker stated, "Leading Mastercard in the Asia Pacific region has been an incredible journey, and I am proud of our achievements," adding, "President Warmald is a trusted colleague and a thoughtful leader, and I am confident he will successfully lead the business."

President Warmald commented, "The Asia Pacific region is dynamic and richly diverse," and said, "I look forward to collaborating with the team and partners to achieve sustained growth and meaningful results."
