RaonSecure will share its future vision for the security and authentication sector through the "2025 SecureUp & Hackathon."

RaonSecure, an IT security and authentication platform company led by CEOs Lee Soonhyung and Lee Jeonga, will host the "2025 SecureUp & Hackathon" at COEX in Seoul on September 23. This year's event, themed "A Future Connected by Web3 & AI," will present new security and authentication strategies through the convergence of Web3 and artificial intelligence.

Now in its 13th year, SecureUp will, for the first time, feature three tracks and be held on the largest scale ever. Through this event, RaonSecure plans to showcase global security and authentication trends, cases of metaverse and AI convergence, and blockchain-based innovative ideas all in one place.

Track A will share the latest trends and strategies in the security and authentication sector, including digital credentials, digital device security, artificial intelligence, post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and cyber security. The session will begin with an opening address by RaonSecure CEO Lee Soonhyung, followed by presentations on global security and authentication trends by the Android Enterprise Lead Developer, Mizuma Itsunobu, CISO of CyberLinks, and Kevin Moraga Garcia, Professor at Costa Rica Institute of Technology.

Subsequently, RaonSecure CTO Kim Taejin, Professor Kim Yongseong from Wonkwang University College of Medicine, and Professor Kim Seongyo from Konkuk University will give lectures on blockchain DID and digital badges. Park Hyunwoo, Head of RaonSecure AI Research Center, Lee Duyong, Head of Security Technology Division, and Kim Hyungkwan, Head of Security Planning Team, will each present on AI hacking countermeasures, PQC-based data security, and AI & Zero Trust convergence strategies, respectively.

Track B will focus on "Metademy," a metaverse-based practical training service, introducing digital innovation and industry application cases through the convergence of metaverse, Web3, and AI. Yoon Wonsuk, Head of the Metademy Business Division at RaonMeta, will present success strategies for the metaverse through a platform combining Web3 and AI, while Professor Woo Woontak from KAIST will discuss the future of K-Metaverse opened up by spatial intelligence and extended reality (XR).

In addition, Metademy partners such as ▲YellowBox (powerboats), ▲BigPictures (construction machinery), ▲VentaVR (industrial safety), ▲Gridatech (nursing skills), ▲MindsAI (practical exams), and ▲WhatsLab (glove-type VR controllers) will exhibit innovative technologies in their respective fields. Lectures will also showcase how the metaverse will shape the future of society.

Track C will feature the finals of the "Blockchain & AI Hackathon," hosted by the Korea Digital Authentication Association and co-organized by RaonSecure and the Global Digital Innovation Network (GDIN). Since May, a total of 209 teams have participated in the preliminary rounds, presenting various ideas utilizing mobile identification, with 10 teams advancing to the finals. The final winning teams will be selected through a review process and will receive up to 1 billion won in startup funding, support for global expansion, overseas investment attraction, and management consulting. The hackathon is sponsored by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation, National Information Society Agency (NIA), National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Naver, and KakaoBank.

Applications for event participation can be submitted in advance through the official website. Pre-registered participants will receive an "OmniOne Badge," and the first 300 attendees to present this badge on the day of the event will receive a gift card as part of the "Early Bird Event."

Lee Soonhyung, CEO of RaonSecure, stated, "The 2025 SecureUp & Hackathon is an opportunity to directly witness how the convergence of Web3 and AI is making innovation in the security and authentication sector a reality," adding, "Through this event, we expect participants to gain insights into new security and authentication paradigms and future technologies in the hyper-connected era."
