The Playto, the developer of the artificial intelligence (AI) note-taking solution 'Tiro,' announced on August 25 that it has been recognized for its technological capabilities and global achievements, and has been selected as the first company for the TIPS Global Track by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Tiro is an AI service that manages the entire workflow-from recording and translating conversations in real time, to generating documents in the desired template, and sharing them with the team. Going beyond simple voice transcription, Tiro analyzes the context of conversations to automatically generate structured meeting minutes and summary documents, offering a differentiated technology. It supports 12 languages in real time, including Korean, English, and Japanese, and has proven its competitiveness in the global market with an accuracy rate that surpasses the industry average.
With this selection for the TIPS Global Track, The Playto will receive a total of 1.2 billion won in support over the next three years. The TIPS Global Track is a program that supports research and development as well as overseas expansion, enabling promising domestic startups to grow into global innovative companies.
Since its global launch at the end of last year, The Playto has quickly achieved results, particularly in the Japanese and U.S. markets, maintaining a monthly growth rate that doubles each month. Word-of-mouth has spread among venture capitalists, startups, and professionals in fields with frequent meetings, and recently, the company has been expanding into B2B enterprise markets, leading to adoption at the global corporate level.
Meanwhile, The Playto, which provides the Tiro service, secured 800 million won in seed investment from Smilegate Investment and Mashup Ventures in February. The company was also selected for the 'D.CAMP Batch' startup incubation program by the Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs (D.CAMP), as well as the 'Asan Voyager' global expansion support program by the Asan Nanum Foundation.
Lim Eunseong, CEO of The Playto, said, "From the very first year of launch, we have proven both our technological strength and business potential in the Japanese and U.S. markets. Building on the support from the TIPS Global Track, we aim to grow into an innovative company leading the global voice AI market."
