Korea Investment & Securities announced that it will exclusively offer the "Korea Investment Goldman Sachs US Tech Fund" starting August 25. This public offering fund was jointly launched by Korea Investment & Securities and Goldman Sachs Asset Management, a leading global investment management company.
This fund is an overseas equity fund that allocates more than 60% of its assets to carefully selected US technology stocks. The Fundamental Equity Team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, which manages approximately 100 billion dollars (about 140 trillion won) in assets, will be responsible for sub-management.
The portfolio will be composed of 30 to 40 technology stocks, focused on six key themes: semiconductors and hardware, digital innovation, cloud computing, cybersecurity, fintech, and online consumption. The company explained that it aims for a balanced allocation that encompasses both mature companies that adapt flexibly to technological change and high-growth innovative companies.
Park Jaehyun, Head of the Retail Customer Group at Korea Investment & Securities, stated, "This product allows investors to directly benefit from the structural growth of global tech companies," and added, "We will continue to expand cooperation with leading overseas financial institutions and actively provide differentiated global financial products to domestic investors."
The Korea Investment Goldman Sachs US Tech Fund is scheduled to be established on August 28. Subscriptions are available in both Korean won and US dollars, and investors can choose whether to hedge foreign exchange risk when investing in Korean won.
