Woori Bank participated in the 2025 Eulji Exercise, conducting a company-wide crisis response drill to prepare for national emergencies and disaster situations.
From August 18 to 20, Woori Bank's headquarters and data center took part in the Eulji Exercise, focusing on transitioning to a wartime emergency response system and fulfilling its role in providing financial support.
In particular, through a cyberterrorism response drill, the bank assessed its ability to ensure continuity of financial services by conducting system recovery and disaster recovery (DR) center operations, as well as switch-over training between the main data center and the backup center, in response to threats such as server hacking and DDoS attacks.
Additionally, all employees at the headquarters and data center participated in a civil defense evacuation drill, checking the system in place to ensure safety and maintain normal financial operations even during national disasters.
Furthermore, during the exercise period, two major issue discussions were held to clarify the roles of the command headquarters and regional headquarters, as well as wartime relocation plans. The process also included discussions on improvements and supplementary measures identified during the drills, thereby enhancing the wartime response system.
A Woori Bank official stated, "Through this Eulji Exercise, we conducted drills to ensure the safety of customers and employees and maintain continuity of financial services," adding, "We will do our utmost to protect customers' assets and provide uninterrupted financial services even in national emergencies and disaster situations."
