In these selected works, the author analyzes changes in the discourse and knowledge structures surrounding women's education, and examines the historical formation and oppression of female subjects. He has critically analyzed the structures interwoven with education and power, language and gender, and has traced the historical conditions of 'learning' and 'speaking' imposed on women through historical texts, shedding light on the operation of gendered power in the formation and exclusion of knowledge.

Professor Kyungnam Kim stated, "Analyzing the content and methods of education imposed on women, as well as the hidden norms of the right to speak and enforced silence, is a process of restoring the past and reflecting on today’s educational realities," adding, "I hope that research on the history of women's education will become more public and interdisciplinary."

The author is currently participating as a co-researcher in the general joint research project of the Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences at Pukyong National University and the National Research Foundation of Korea, titled "A Study of Multicultural Literacy in Korea and Japan for Inclusive Communication in Society-including Proposals for Industry-Specific Language Policies." This project is designed to explore, from an interdisciplinary perspective, inclusive communication strategies and literacy policy directions that respond to linguistic and cultural diversity in East Asian societies.

Changkyung Kim, Director of the Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences, said, "The selection of the author’s books as Outstanding Academic Books further expands and deepens the institute’s research focus and scope in contributing to the sustainability of society."

The National Academy of Sciences, Republic of Korea, annually selects and announces outstanding books in the basic academic fields of humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to encourage research and writing in these areas. The selected books are distributed to university and public libraries nationwide and are expected to be utilized in educational and research settings.
