A woman in her 30s was found murdered in an officetel building in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, prompting a police investigation.
According to police on August 21, at around 5:45 a.m. that day, a resident discovered Ms. A dead from stab wounds in the underground parking lot of an officetel in Suji-gu, Yongin. The resident reported the incident. Police who responded to the scene reviewed CCTV footage and determined that a young man committed the crime against Ms. A in the early morning hours and then fled. Police are currently tracking the suspect, collecting Ms. A's body, and conducting a forensic examination of the scene.
The police plan to charge the suspect with murder upon arrest and are keeping all possibilities open, including the potential for a relationship-based crime.
